Hoping For Something? Careful!
Our hope must be grounded in reality and the truths of the Scriptures to
avoid falling into that ever present emotional, mental, and spiritual
crater.
God Writes Straight With Crooked Lines: A Brief Study on Abraham
Abraham, called by God, for a specific purpose, in a specific time
period, had to learn to depend less on himself and to fully depend on
God. He made some crooked steps along the way but God was faithful to His promises to Abraham. We can learn a bunch about God and about
ourselves in this brief study on the Patriarch, Abraham, “the friend of
God”.
You’ve Not Been This Way Before
A brand new day
is one you’ve never experienced before. What is ahead? God alone knows.
What am I to do? Follow the One who knows what is ahead. Fellowship
& Followship are reciprocal.
Heaven Is For Real
This is a
biblical critique of the popular book, study guides, and the soon to be
released (on Resurrection weekend) film. Is this film or the book for
adults or the book for children really something your child should read or watch? Are the books and film accurate scripturally?
Women of the Book: Mrs. Job
Mrs. Job is not fondly remembered. But I think she got a bad rap. After
all, Job’s losses were hers too. Anyone of us who have buried a child,
or children, understand grief.
Mercy Tree
This is a biblical critique of the contemporary song, “Mercy Tree.” Does
God’s Word ever call the cross of Christ, the ‘Mercy Tree’? Why should
it matter to Bible believing Christians?
When Your Children Ask ... Help for Parents Teaching About The Resurrection of Christ
Special Guests Mrs. Cristy Wise & Miss Cora Wise, mom & daughter
share fun, practical, & spiritual activities to help your child
understand the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Listen up for
alternative to the typical (and unbiblical) Bunny Rabbits, Baskets &
Eggs.
NOTE: there is a slight buzzing for approx. 3 minutes at the beginning of this audio file.
Here Comes Peter Cottontail
Peter Rabbit is
so equated with ‘Easter’ that one school system has designated the
bunny, Peter Rabbit, too much of a Christian symbol. Of course, the ACLU
is ‘on board with this type of Christian cleansing.” Did you know the
bunny Rabbit is part of the Resurrection Celebration?
Theodicy
We all think
about and often discuss God’s unscrutable ways. Why do the Righteous
suffer? Why are the ungodly so successful? Wrong seems to trump Good,
and Evil seems to win out over Right. We’re perplexed and puzzled.
There is a theological concept for this subject, it is called
“Theodicy”.
